The treatment you have chosen involves breaking the skin surface so there is always a potential risk for infection to occur afterwards. If is important that this advice is followed so that the infection risk can be minimised.

  • Avoid unnecessary touching, scratching or picking of the treated site to reduce the risk of introducing infection.
  • If possible shower rather than bath whilst the treated area is healing so that unnecessary water exposure is prevented.
  • Do not use skin products on the treated area.
  • After approximately 2 weeks any scabbing should have gone and been replaced with new intact skin. The area should be completely healed in further 10-14 days.
  • Avoid swimming, sun beds and sun bathing until the newly treated area is fully healed as direct sunlight/chlorine can interact with pigments causing skin irritation and inflammation.
  • Apply only a thin layer of the after-care, (with a clean cotton bud each time NOT FINGERS) if you over apply it will cause blisters and full colour loss.
  • Don’t pick the wart, don’t scratch otherwise you will lose the colour from that area.
  • Tinting your eyelashes or brows is FORBIDDEN for 1 month!
  • Avoid fake lashes, sauna, sunbed, suntan, cosmetic facials.
  • DRINKING ALCOHOL IN THE FIRST 24 HOURS IS FORBIDDEN the colour can migrate -DON’T SMOKE FOR 24 HOURS!!
  • Gently clean treated area pm. And am. with tepid water.
  • Do not scrub or rub.
  • Absolutely no soap, cleansing creams or chemicals.
  • Do not pick, peel, or scratch the treated area or the colour may heal unevenly and you risk scarring and infection. Allow the wound to flake on it’s own.
  • No make-up should be applied for at least 14 days.
  • If the area gets wet gently pat dry using a clean tissue.
  • Do not scratch or pick any crusted or scabbed area. Allow it to slough off naturally.
